Madison Curtis

Special Projects Intern

Madison Curtis joined Pennino and Partners as a public relations intern in August 2024. Madison is responsible for developing media coverage reports, as well as drafting and distributing media pitches, media alerts, and press releases. She also conducts research to support a wide range of public relations initiatives for Pennino and Partners and its clients.

Madison is a full-time student at The University of Houston, enrolled in the Jack J. Valenti School of Communication. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in strategic communication and plans to graduate in December 2025.

Coupled with her “real-world” part-time internship at Pennino and Partners, Madison’s academic journey is equipping her with a solid foundation in business principles and public relations. Her coursework at the University of Houston includes business and professional communications, strategic communication writing, and media planning and placement, which is enhancing her understanding of market analysis and strategic communication planning. She is benefiting from the knowledge and experience of her instructors, many of whom are public relations veterans. Madison is also expanding her network as a member of the Public Relations Society of America Student Chapter at U of H.

Madison participates in an informal reading club at the University of Houston. She says that reading sharpens her analytical skills, improves her comprehension, and strengthens her writing. As a member of a community running club that meets weekly at Hermann Park in Houston, she credits the experience with helping her build discipline and focus. Her involvement in a photography club has allowed her to explore new techniques, refining her ability to work with lighting and composition. Passionate about photography, Madison plans to continue honing her skills and aspires to launch her own portrait photography business in the future.

A native of Temple, Texas, Madison relocated to Houston in August 2024 and has been embracing the many opportunities and adventures the Greater Houston area has to offer. When she is not working or studying, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Fish, as well as exploring her culinary interests through cooking and dining out.
